Terms of use

Last updated

These terms govern your use of this website. They do not govern any engagement with establish-it, which is set out separately in writing before work begins.

What the information here is

Everything on this site is general information about setting up and running a company in the UAE. It is written carefully and reviewed, but it is general by nature and it is not advice about your particular situation.

Requirements differ by authority, by emirate and by activity, and they change. Nothing here should be treated as a determination of what applies to you.

What we are, and what we are not

establish-it is a business consulting and setup partner. We are not a law firm, an accounting or audit firm, a licensed tax agent, a Corporate Service Provider, a company secretary or a provider of fiduciary or trust services.

Specialised accounting and tax services are provided through our licensed partner firms. Where work requires a licence we do not hold, it goes to a firm that holds it.

The Setup Advisor and the checklists

The Setup Advisor produces guidance to discuss with a consultant. It is not a determination, it does not know your full circumstances, and its rules are general patterns that we confirm against your specific activity and chosen authority before anything is filed.

The document checklists describe what is asked for most often. The exact set depends on the authority, the bank or the visa route, and we confirm it for you before you start collecting anything expensive to attest.

Outcomes we do not control

Corporate bank account opening is the decision of the bank, made under its own compliance rules. Licence issue, visa issue and approvals are decisions of the relevant authority. We prepare and submit; we do not decide, and we do not promise an outcome that is not ours to give.

Links to other sites

Where we link to an authority, a bank or another organisation, we do so for reference. A link is not a partnership, an endorsement, or a statement that we act for them or they for us.

Changes

We update this site as rules and practice change. The date at the top of this page shows when these terms last changed.
